Water...yet again!!

Got a nice Christmas present frm the Town Hall. Pay your water bill in 15 days or we are coming to cut you off. Nice, eh?
This is the gigantic water bill previously mentioned. I have asked them to check meter but then never heard from them. Suppose that means that it is correct?
How could I have used 10 swimming pools or whatever worth of water!! Mystery to me!
