Red Palm Weevil

I've been interested in the news items about the red palm weevil which could mean the end of all palm trees worldwide and wrote about them too. Attack of the Red Palm Weevil.
You should read it because this menace could well be here in the village. There have been several reported cases in Villajoyosa. It's something we will all have to look out for and forewarned is forearmed, so they say.
Be interesting to see what our local Town Hall will do if such an attack happened here.
My guess is probably nothing because they don't have any poor soul doing Community Service to go cut down the palm trees for them!
